The story tells of a fictional 2006 FIFA World Cup Finale between Germany and Netherlands. When the team from Germany loses, they send out as revenge a zombie invasion[7]. A small group of friends moves away from the nationwide madness, to a North Sea island where a horde of Wehrmacht zombies wait.[8]
The film began shooting in 2004[10], two years later in 2006 Gorehound Inc. released a teaser[11] and a trailer[12]. After many financial problems the film was canceled in March 2009[13] and Richard Raaphorst now devotes his time to his following project[14]: Frankenstein's Army.[15]
The film was released in a limited Promo-Version on DVD, but this version is sold out.[16]
On 10 May 2005 the movie was nominated for the Golden Trailer Awards, in the category "Best movie trailer"[17], the festival was on 26 May in Los Angeles[18].
